June's books in OLIKA book club 🌺
Summer is coming soon and we're sending these great books out to the club! For the youngest, it's a lovely pointing book where the child has to guess who's making the sound, guaranteed to feature funny animals. Then there's washing a car, and oh, how fun it is to spray water on mom. And finally, a unique ABC book that offers two alphabets and fantastic pictures from the Sami culture. Learn about cold springs, reindeer and grayling.
Club SMULTRON (0-2 years, point book): Who is that sounding?
Club JORDGUBB (1-3 years): We wash the car
Club MELON (3-6 years): ABC book in Northern Sami and Swedish
For the slightly older ones, we offer Spökdiscto where there are also fact boxes about electricity, things that are good to know. In the Assignment Book, Lina meets the scary Water Witch and for those who are already in club Noshörning, it is the final and thrilling resolution in the Ice Sports series.
Club DELFIN (6-9 years, easy to read): Ghost disco

Club NOSHÖRNING (9-12 years, chapter book): Ice Sports: The Fire is Coming
*We will be phasing out Club Noshöring, those who are in the club will continue to receive books, but we will close it for new subscriptions as we do not have many titles in that age category. 🌈😊
What do others say?
The best book club we've tried (it's been a bunch these 15 years as a parent!) The books gently, honestly and humbly portray different families. The child is taken seriously and everyone gets a seat. Inclusion, representation and participation are self-evident norms.
Getting a book in the mailbox every other month is perfect. We have two children so we are in Jordgubb and Delfin. The whole family looks forward to when a new book from DIFFERENT publishers comes out, we love to read and that the books are so thoughtful and fun!
