Astrid Tolke lives in Stockholm. She is a member of the feminist comics network Dotterbolaget and works with the Seriestorm project, where she and others hold workshops in cartooning for children.
We wash the car was Astrid's debut as a children's book illustrator, where Astrid captures the playfulness that arises when children are allowed to participate. Subsequently, she has also illustrated: We bake buns and We grow strawberries, in the same series.
