The author Alexander Närtell comes from Årjäng in Värmland. Today he lives in Gothenburg and works as a copywriter. Together with Sofia Jensfelt, he has written the series Modern Classics, based on the old fairy tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast.
The idea for the books came to Sofia when she read one of the fairy tales to her children. This one needs to be renewed! she thought, and asked Alexander if he wanted to join.
