  • How do we work inclusively?
  • How do we empower all students and give them more opportunities?

This course combines theory, concrete examples and practical tips that take change forward. By making norms visible – things that we often don't think about, we can question and create an inclusive school where more stories and perspectives find space. The course includes three lectures of approximately twenty minutes each. According to the Swedish National Agency for Education , a norm-critical perspective is the key. The training shows how knowledge about norm criticism and how the different grounds for discrimination are interconnected. According to the Swedish National Agency for Education, the norm-critical perspective is a key to being able to work long-term with equality, empower all students, and prevent bullying and harassment.

Norm creativity is about change moving forward. If norm criticism is the analysis itself, the examination itself, then norm creativity is the doing, i.e. how we change moving forward. The lecture provides practical tips and methods that both teachers and students can work with. With a norm creative approach, we can see all people's resources instead of letting ourselves be hindered by stereotypes.

Film 1) Norm creativity how does it work? – inclusion instead of tolerance
The film gives you knowledge about what norm criticism and norm creativity are. The difference between a tolerance perspective and working inclusively for the equal value of all people. Simply how we can move from discrimination to inclusion! With the help of new role models and new positive norms, we can create a school that includes all different students: she, he and he, age, ethnicity, religion and belief, functional variation and love, simply everyone different.

Film 2) Reception and materials – start talking about norms with students
How do we ensure that we are inclusive in our approach? Our language reflects the norms and stereotypes that exist in our society. This film presents how we can give students more opportunities by changing our approach. The film also gives you tips on how you can work together with students and analyze material based on the different grounds for discrimination.
and make conscious choices to create change.

Film 3) Always act! – safety, boundaries, violations and consent
Mental illness and abuse can be linked to norms about how we are expected to be, what gives status and what does not. To create a safe school, we need to work with so-called pranks, mean words, verbal and physical violence. This film presents strategies for creating a safe school using emotions, boundaries and consent.

Väcker många tankar i ens eget förprogrammerade sinne.
