Kiwi & Monster Dog (recycled paper)

An exuberant, crazy story in rhyme about wishing for something, and getting it, although not quite in the way you thought!

Dog! Kivi shouts. Give me a dog! Otherwise I will never sleep again!
Mappor and pammor and morbroster Jin, a bryssling, a marfor, a half-quarters cousin, little parvelpusor and storebröstrar; they all stand around the bed consoling and whistling and hissing and saying of course, someday possibly, almost certainly, she will get a dog, they can half-certainly promise - but only if Kivi themself now promises to sleep.

The first book in the series, Kivi & Monster dog, was published in 2012 and was Sweden's first children book where the word hen is used as a personal pronoun. OLIKA launched the book with a debate article written together with linguist Karin Milles. The debate that followed paved the way for a third pronoun and in 2014 it was included in the Swedish Academy's dictionary. Hurray!
